Caramelized Banana and Peanut Butter Toast



I want to start making my breakfasts more aesthetic, so this is me trying to romanticize my favorite meal of the day. Caramelizing the bananas just takes 5 extra minutes to enhance the normal peanut butter banana toast. It provides another flavor profile to a simple dish, thus making it a little more complex. Just make sure to keep an eye on them and not let the banana slices burn too much!


Recipe

Yields 1 serving

Ingredients

1 slice of bread

1 banana

2 teaspoons butter

Peanut butter

Liquid sweetener (honey or maple syrup)


Procedure

  • Toast your bread.

  • Slice the bananas.

  • In a pan, melt the butter.

  • Add the bananas into the melted butter and let them brown for 1-2 minutes. Flip and let the other side brown for another 1-2 minutes.

  • Spread some peanut butter on your toast.

  • Add the caramelized bananas on top.

  • Drizzle with the liquid sweetener of your choice.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
